Audit

Today I have to finish my pqq and submit it for approval.

I got a few more questions to fill in online for submission. And I should be able to get the outstanding items closed out within the next few months.

It’s always a work in progress

I spoke to a new supplier this evening and we are trying to get them onboard to complete some of the cad works going forward and get the engineers focused on picking up the information on site.

Hopefully this is one step closer in getting more of the work done on site.

What we need to establish at one point is to get the drawings out very quickly to the clients. Fast and at the specification.

The biggest problem we have is gathering the information from site into a nice format that can go out to the cad technicians.

The only way to resolve this is to standardise the whole system.

Spec sheet form

to keep the quality of our work and customer satisfaction up we’re going to introduce a spec sheet maker for our work.

This will tie up with the RICS guidance notes.

The foundation of the specification form elm have all the features under the RICS. This will help clarify the works and everything else.

The Form will be a simple check box style where our office manager can select and pick features to include.

The form will include accordion boxes. Every time it is open it is included. And the title will change to reflect this. Once everything is good we can send this to the client for approval. On the link they get it will auto log them in.

On the page they can approve or edit it to suit. Once edited they cannot approve the form and it will ask them to submit for changes.

Each project would have one spec sheet to work with. This will then build the basis of the quotes.
Once we submit the spec we can price against the spec.

I’d like to add you to my professional network on LinkedIn

Quotes

today I’ll be working on a form for my assistant to be able to quickly select items and specifics to send out to the client easily via email.

It will also help us manage where the project is per each stage.

I’ll set up the flow of tables as

  1. Client
  2. Project
  3. Quotes

Then in a few weeks each project would have

  1. Resources
  2. Change control
  3. Diary/events

In regards to the diary I’ll be using phone in numbers for each project bigger than 5000 or any big values project.

I will also spin off this diary recording into an application to allow users to record voice, pictures or text.

This events capture will capture

  1. Emails
  2. Voicemail
  3. Text ins
  4. Evernote apps
  5. Tweets(would this be business efficient)??
  6. Changes
  7. Receipt of payment
  8. Document control items

In terms of document control we’ll be offering this at some point where we can keep files up to a year for free. This allows architects to use it for free

Loads to be done… With an unproductive weekend where I did nothing I don’t feel like going back to work with this level of shit that I am facing .

It felt and it probably is right that I haven’t done much for the report that was due today. This has been delayed to tomorrow but the amount of work is way too much to fix.

I spent all day to fix this cost to date on my financial report. I hope that with the last minute amendments I can get it out of the door tonight and have a relaxing evening with the gf.

What I need to do tonight is basically reviewing the costs that were reported so that it ties up with last months report.

I need to show a detailed movement line by line with some narrative. I have to redo the costs and accrual for the staff, labour, plant, ge  and materials.

Once that’s done I need to make sure last months isn’t lower than this months cowd.

Thereafter I need to review the changes reported last month to include it in the CVR.
I think that’s good in term of todo list for tonight to review. Gotta knock it out quickly.

.rested

Feel so god this morning.

I’ve woken up after a good 8 hours sleep. I’m having my filtered coffee, feeling focused.

Yesterday I’ve cracked scraping Google ads on a page using guzzle. I can now gather the competition’s add text and link. With this I will be able to analyse how they are getting more ranking and what they are using for their ads.

With that in mind I can possibly sell this information to other industries where they are not able to get that information from spy fu.

So it will basically

  1. capture the ads on the search display on specific keywords.
  2.  Capture the list of top 100 sites displayed on the
  3. Save the information and checks if they are different from the previous ones from the same domain.
  4. If they are different an email is sent straight away to me or anyone else with the changes
  5. On a weekly basis an email is generated with a summary of the information gathered.
  6. The information can be Viewed via a portal in addition to the email.

On that note I have to update my script to stop spam affliction on my mandrill account as they keep filling the form and there are no checks to reject the email if they have not filled it in via the JavaScript post.

I’ve been playing around with JavaScript recently,i must say it’s pretty awesome. I can run and host my own chat system which I think is brilliant and I don’t have to rely on other services that costs.

Running everything on my servers drastically saves me money. I am able to build my own systems to my liking.

Tired and restless

heading back to work today.

Feel like shit, I had a good night with my girlfriend last night.

But so restless this morning and I wasn’t feeling too great and felt like I was coming down with a cold.

At the moment I’m dreading every morning going to work. It’s such a soul sucking job.

Hope I get the report out of the way today so that I can focus on more important things.

I’m this close to leave the job. It’s purely crap.

I’ve got a lot to be done especially for my own business which I need to get the bank account sorted and start improving our work and delivery.

My eyes are burning trying to keep up.

Interesting there’s this woman on the train having yogurt and whole grapes on the train. Makes me hungry, even though I just had krave cornflakes.

I’m still wearing my freaking thermal because it still feels cold…. I’m still deciding on whether to get a coffee or not at Paddington.

I’m also contemplating on leaving early today and to just rest up. I’m feeling so shit

And it just stinks in the on the train at the moment .

Need to get out of debt and keep logging myself.

In a way to reduce my expenditure I am going to wake up early to make a proper breakfast and have a home made filtered coffee rather than paying for one.

This will save a few £ a week

I have to also make my own lunches to save and be healthy. I could have it just as salads with some refried beans.

I think I stopped it in the past because it was expensive but I’ll see how it goes.
